The goal is to be whole and you can’t be whole unless you know yourself and you know the intention and methods your enemies use on you to keep you fragmented. By learning how to use hands-on interactive, culturally-relevant teaching methods to inspire people of all ages and creating transformative learning experiences you can not only begin your healing process but you will heal in the only true way possible which is within the context of family and community development.

 

GOALS

  1. To spread truth to the masses of our people that will assist in the liberation of the minds of African people from White Supremacist/Domination Ideologies. 

  2. To maintain and practice African cultural values, language, folkways, mores, traditions, ceremonies, and African communalism.

  3. To unify people of African descent around the globe to become self-sufficient, self-determined, self-loving people who share consciousness of thought and consciousness of action. 

What We've Achieved

  • We at Re-Awakening the Afrikan Genius Mind have worked for decades in the American education system in the private, public and charter school sectors and firmly believe the current school system has the wrong aim, the wrong method of instruction, and the wrong content for our children so we also teach a 1 week program Afrikan-Centered Teacher Training and Certification. This program teaches the history of Education/ Socialization in Africa and hidden African enculturation process on the plantations during slavery in the Americas that developed us into highly skilled, confident, innovative, collaborating experts. This includes Rites of Passage rituals.

     

We will provide best African centered teaching methods used today that will have your children excited about your lessons, loving our people and doing additional research on their own. 

You will learn how to teach our children media literacy and how not to be dumbed down by European propaganda.

We will explain parts of our history never taught to us in school that are vital to having us understand who we are, where we are, how we got where we are and most importantly where we still must go as a people.

Such a movement must organize itself for a struggle to the death against the continuing internalization of self-defeating, self-destructive ideas by Afrikan peoples. It must unite these peoples around the ideology of Afrocentrism and inculcate within their breasts a life-saving, life giving, liberating, Afrikan centered consciousness and identity. It must incite the peoples to new self-knowledge, to discovery and development of creative, operative strategies, social relations and arrangements; new values and visions with which they will break asunder- forever- the shackles of White Supremacy. These ends can only be attained if the Afrocentric movement goes on the ideological offensive with an overpowering vengeance.”

With the spread of misinformation, political pandering and vapid symbolism, how and where can we show our children a clear path of understanding to their true relationship to culture and the global politic? Our children, our families and our people need clarity, integrity and a focused commitment to improving our condition. With the correct political education and an understanding in the value of our culture and history, we can take the right action to serve our interests rather than work against our interests. That is the selfish love I have seen in the courageous work from educator, writer, speaker and master teacher, T’Shango Mbilishaka. The forward, visionary thinking that the sons and daughters of Africa need is what I’ve witnessed in his classroom, in is office during his office hours, in his output and results of his students. As a colleague, I have seen T’Shango sit with students at his feet yearning for political education to empower themselves.
